Aquanex opens the professional breakfasts of the EME Connected Women's Network

Leadership, women, equity, promotion are some of the concepts that the workers of Aquanex, an expert company in the management of the water cycle in Extremadura, have exposed today in the professional breakfast of the network Women Connected in EME that the General Directorate of Business of the Board of Extremadura and the City Council of Villanueva de la Serena have organized today in the Youth Creation Space of the municipality. They have been protagonists of this meeting that has brought together 35 women with the purpose of fostering collaboration and business opportunities among businesswomen, entrepreneurs and professionals.

The head of network operations in Villanueva de la Serena, Mercedes Hinojosa; those in charge of the economic-financial area of ​​Aquanex, Victoria Espina and Naira Marín and the person in charge of the management and quality system of Aquanex, Inés María Huertas, have energized the day in which the culture and equity objectives of the company, which integrate communication, gender balance, conciliation and prevention initiatives against harassment. Likewise, Aquanex workers have shared their own professional experience as women in leadership or leadership positions.

"The main objective of these professional breakfasts is to visualize the work of women, the role they are doing, and serve as an example and model for others," said the company's general director, Ana Vega, during the opening of the meeting .

In this sense, he stressed that the breakfasts are paying off, “collaborations are already taking place among the attendees, which is why some of the users create groups to travel to each of the breakfasts that are held monthly by itinerant Extremadura territory ”, added Vega.

The next presentation and networking breakfasts will be held on February 11 in Moraleja, on March 10 in Badajoz, on 14 in Jerte, on May 12 in Almendralejo and on June 9 in Hervás.

The professional network of women “Connected in EME”, which currently has 776 users, was launched by the General Directorate of Business in 2018, within the framework of the EME strategy for the promotion of women in entrepreneurship, the company and leadership in business in the region.
