The Aquanex education programme, Aqualogía, reached the town of Don Benito this Friday to teach young pupils about the importance of responsible water use. A total of 73 pupils from the fifth year of primary school took part in the programme, held in a classroom at the Zurbarán primary school in two sessions. They were accompanied by the town's mayor, José Luis Quintana, who wanted to be present at this education initiative, along with the General Manager of Aquanex, José Luis Billón de Ory.

On 22 and 24 November, Aqualogía will also visit the students of another school in Don Benito: the Francisco Valdés primary school. A total of 100 schoolchildren from the third year of primary school will participate in these two days of sessions in the education programme.

Aquanex specialists act as teachers, demonstrating to schoolchildren how water reaches their homes and what treatments it undergoes to become suitable for drinking, and how it is returned to the natural environment. In this way, through games, interactive videos, and even scientific experiments, the schoolchildren learnt first-hand about the process water passes through before it comes out of the taps in their homes.
