PERTE AQUANEX DIGITALASVEGAS


The DIGITALASVEGAS project has been selected in the second call for PERTE grants awarded by the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge through the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan.

DIGITALASVEGAS will implement a series of actions in 37 municipalities in the provinces of Badajoz and Cáceres for the digitalization of the water cycle, with the aim of improving management efficiency and strengthening the region's resilience to climate and environmental challenges.

The priority actions included in this project, and on which work is already underway, are:

  • Drought emergency plans.

  • Hydraulic efficiency projects.

  • Sanitary surveillance and water quality plans.

  • Development of a mathematical model for supply networks.

  • Drafting of construction projects for critical infrastructure in the supply network for the digitalization and real-time quality control of water.

  

This ambitious project will have a budget of more than 2,800,000 euros and will include the execution of a total of 69 actions in 37 municipalities over two and a half years.
